Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Spearhead the end-to-end lifecycle of multiple complex, high-impact programs, from initial conception and strategic planning through to execution, monitoring, and successful closure in a completely virtual environment.
  • Develop comprehensive, integrated program plans, defining scope, resource requirements, timelines, budget, and key deliverables in collaboration with senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary leader and facilitator for cross-functional teams spread across different time zones, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture without in-person interaction.
  • Define and manage program governance structures, establishing clear processes for decision-making, issue escalation, and communication to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate program risks, issues, and dependencies, developing robust contingency plans to keep initiatives on track.
  • Meticulously manage program budgets, including forecasting, tracking actuals against plan, and reporting on financial performance to executive sponsors.
  • Serve as the central point of communication, expertly articulating program strategy, status, and outcomes to all levels of the organization, from individual team members to the C-suite.
  • Design and implement sophisticated communication plans that address the unique challenges of a remote workforce, ensuring clarity, consistency, and engagement.
  • Champion the use of digital collaboration and project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira, Miro, Slack) to optimize workflows, enhance transparency, and drive team productivity.
  • Lead virtual steering committee meetings and business reviews, preparing and delivering compelling presentations on program progress, challenges, and results.
  • Manage and negotiate with external vendors, partners, and contractors, ensuring they meet contractual obligations and deliver high-quality work.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics to objectively measure program performance and impact on business objectives.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by conducting post-program retrospectives and applying lessons learned to refine the organization's program management methodologies.
  • Influence and align stakeholders with competing priorities, building consensus and ensuring commitment to the program's strategic direction.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and guidance to project managers and other team members, fostering their professional development within a remote context.
