Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Design and produce engaging, on-brand visual assets for various social media platforms, including Instagram (Feed, Stories, Reels), TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X (formerly Twitter).
- Assist in the creation and editing of short-form video content, including sourcing clips, adding text overlays, music, and effects to produce polished final cuts for social media.
- Collaborate with the social media and marketing teams to brainstorm and develop visual concepts for upcoming campaigns, product launches, and evergreen content.
- Support the senior design team in creating a wide range of marketing collateral, such as digital ads, email newsletter graphics, website banners, and promotional materials.
- Ensure all visual content adheres to and reinforces brand guidelines, maintaining consistency in typography, color palette, and overall aesthetic across all channels.
- Participate in photo and video shoots, providing on-set assistance, helping with setup, and capturing behind-the-scenes content.
- Organize, tag, and maintain our digital asset management (DAM) system to ensure all creative files are easily accessible for the wider team.
- Create compelling infographics and data visualizations that translate complex information into easily digestible and shareable graphics.
- Retouch and edit photos as needed for use on the website, social media, and other marketing materials to ensure a high-quality finish.
- Develop and design visually appealing presentation decks (PowerPoint/Google Slides) for internal meetings, external partnerships, and sales enablement.
- Research and stay current on the latest design trends, social media formats, and emerging visual technologies to bring fresh ideas to the team.
- Repurpose and resize existing creative assets for different platforms and specifications, ensuring optimal performance and visual integrity.
- Assist in the creation and ideation of simple motion graphics and animated GIFs to enhance digital content and increase engagement.
- Source high-quality stock photography, video footage, and music that aligns with our brand identity and specific campaign needs.
- Support the content team by creating custom graphics, thumbnails, and pull-quotes for blog posts and long-form articles.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of visual brand guidelines and creative best practices documents.
- Actively participate in weekly creative reviews and brainstorming sessions, providing constructive feedback and fresh perspectives.
- Assist in storyboarding and pre-production planning for video projects, helping to visualize the narrative and shot list.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, effectively prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate with copywriters to ensure seamless integration of visual elements and written content for a cohesive brand message.
- Update and refresh visual content on the company website and landing pages using a content management system (CMS).
- Create templates in Canva or Figma for the wider marketing team to use for recurring content needs, empowering non-designers while maintaining brand consistency.

Required Skills & Competencies
Hard Skills (Technical)
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign for graphic design.
- Experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or CapCut.
- Familiarity with design platforms like Canva and/or Figma for rapid content creation and collaboration.
- A strong understanding of fundamental design principles, including typography, color theory, layout, and composition.
- Basic knowledge of motion graphics using Adobe After Effects is a significant plus.
- Experience with photography and photo editing/retouching techniques.
- Understanding of social media platforms and their specific visual requirements (e.g., aspect ratios, formats).
- Ability to create and format engaging presentation decks (PowerPoint, Google Slides).
