Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Develop, conceptualize, and implement innovative visual merchandising strategies across all retail channels to enhance the brand image, drive traffic, and maximize sales.
- Design and produce detailed visual merchandising guidelines, directives, and planograms for seasonal collections, product launches, and promotional campaigns, ensuring clear and actionable communication to store teams.
- Lead the end-to-end creative process for all window displays, from initial concept and mood board creation to sourcing props, managing production, and overseeing final installation.
- Manage the visual merchandising budget, including forecasting for fixtures, props, mannequins, and graphics, while ensuring all projects are delivered within financial parameters.
- Conduct regular store visits and market walks to evaluate the execution of VM strategies, ensure compliance with brand standards, and provide constructive, on-the-ground coaching to store management and staff.
- Analyze sales data, sell-through reports, and customer traffic patterns to make informed, data-driven decisions about product placement, store zoning, and display effectiveness.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Buying, Planning, and Store Operations teams to ensure a cohesive and integrated go-to-market strategy for all product stories and campaigns.
- Source, negotiate with, and manage external vendors, suppliers, and freelancers for props, lighting, fixtures, and large-scale graphic production to ensure quality and cost-efficiency.
- Lead the recruitment, training, and professional development of the in-store visual merchandising team, fostering a culture of creativity, commerciality, and excellence.
- Plan and oversee the visual merchandising for new store openings, renovations, and pop-up shops, ensuring they open on-time, on-budget, and to the highest brand standards.
- Stay consistently abreast of emerging trends in retail design, fashion, art, and visual merchandising to continually innovate and maintain the brand’s competitive edge.
- Adapt and tailor global visual merchandising directives to suit local market nuances, customer demographics, and specific store architectural constraints.
- Partner with the E-commerce team to ensure a consistent and synergistic visual language between the online and in-store customer experience.
- Manage the lifecycle and inventory of all in-store visual elements, including mannequins, hangers, forms, and fixtures, coordinating repairs, replacements, and rollouts.
- Create compelling presentations to communicate visual strategies and project outcomes to senior leadership and other key stakeholders within the organization.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive training program for all store employees on visual merchandising principles to empower them to maintain standards daily.
- Drive sustainability initiatives within visual merchandising by sourcing eco-friendly materials and designing reusable display concepts.
- Lead the in-store mapping and zoning process, strategically planning the customer journey to highlight key products and drive conversion in high-margin categories.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of a digital library of VM guidelines, best practice examples, and training materials accessible to all stores.
- Act as the primary brand guardian for the physical store environment, ensuring every detail from lighting levels to signage placement is flawlessly executed.
- Champion a test-and-learn approach to visual merchandising, piloting new display concepts in select stores and scaling successful initiatives across the fleet.
Secondary Functions
- Support marketing and sales teams with ad-hoc reporting on the performance of specific visual initiatives and promotional displays.
- Contribute to the overall retail strategy by providing insights on customer flow, product placement effectiveness, and in-store engagement.

Experience Requirements

Preferred: Experience in a multi-store, high-volume retail environment is highly desirable. Proven experience managing new store openings and leading a team of visual merchandisers is a significant plus. A strong portfolio showcasing past work is required.
