Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Develop, implement, and manage the operational execution of all visual merchandising strategies and seasonal directives to drive sales and enhance the customer experience.
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of in-store marketing campaigns, from creative brief handoff through production, distribution, and final installation and compliance checks.
  • Manage the visual operations budget, including forecasting, expense tracking, and reporting for props, fixtures, graphics, and vendor services to ensure projects are delivered within financial targets.
  • Lead the sourcing, negotiation, and management of relationships with external vendors, including printers, fixture manufacturers, and installation partners, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Create, maintain, and distribute comprehensive visual merchandising guidelines, planograms, and communication tools to ensure clear direction and consistent execution for field and store teams.
  • Act as the central point of contact between corporate partners (Marketing, Merchandising, Creative, Store Development) and field leadership to ensure strategic alignment and seamless execution.
  • Project manage all visual aspects of new store openings, remodels, and relocations, developing timelines and ensuring brand standards are flawlessly implemented from day one.
  • Develop and maintain a master visual calendar, coordinating all key dates and deadlines for seasonal floorsets, window displays, and promotional updates across the entire retail fleet.
  • Manage the inventory, logistics, allocation, and distribution of all visual merchandising elements, props, and fixtures, optimizing the supply chain for efficiency and timeliness.
  • Partner with the analytics team to measure the ROI and sales impact of visual merchandising initiatives, using data-driven insights to inform and refine future strategies.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of visual specialists or coordinators, fostering their professional growth and ensuring a high level of performance and engagement.
  • Conduct regular store visits and virtual reviews to assess execution quality, ensure compliance with brand standards, and provide constructive, actionable feedback and training.
  • Continuously seek and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and scalability of all visual operations workflows.
  • Oversee the development and production of in-store signage and marketing collateral, managing proofs, quality control, and timely delivery to stores.
  • Champion unwavering brand consistency by ensuring all visual elements, from mannequin styling to lighting and fixture placement, adhere to established global standards.
  • Collaborate with store design and construction teams to provide operational input on fixture packages, store layouts, and lighting plans for new and renovated stores.
  • Manage the prototype and testing process for new fixtures, displays, and merchandising concepts in designated test stores before a fleet-wide rollout.
  • Develop and deliver effective training materials and programs to educate store teams on visual merchandising principles, brand standards, and execution best practices.
  • Act as the primary troubleshooter, resolving any in-field execution challenges by providing timely and effective solutions to store and district managers.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in retail technology, visual merchandising, sustainability, and store design to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Coordinate the seasonal floorset execution process, including comprehensive calendar management, communication strategy, and post-launch analysis.
  • Manage the end-of-life process for visual assets, including developing and implementing disposition, recycling, or strategic storage strategies.

Secondary Functions

  • Support the Real Estate team with visual assessments and strategic recommendations for potential new store locations.
  • Contribute to cross-functional task forces focused on improving the overall customer journey and omnichannel in-store experience.
  • Assist the marketing team in coordinating and executing visual elements for pop-up shops, trade shows, and other external brand activation events.
  • Participate in seasonal product walkthroughs with buying and merchandising teams to proactively plan and align on future visual strategies.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hard Skills (Technical)

  • Project Management: Advanced proficiency in project management software (e.g., Asana, Monday.com, Smartsheet) to manage complex timelines and deliverables.
  • Budget & Financial Acumen: Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale budgets, financial planning, expense tracking, and P&L analysis.
  • Vendor Management: Expertise in vendor sourcing, contract negotiation, procurement, and performance management.
  • Adobe Creative Suite: Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop for reviewing creative, making minor edits, and creating communication documents.

Education & Experience

Educational Background

Minimum Education:

Experience Requirements
