Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Design, develop, and implement comprehensive vocational training programs that align with current industry standards, labor market data, and identified local workforce needs.
  • Manage the complete lifecycle of vocational programs, from initial concept and curriculum development to daily execution, continuous monitoring, and comprehensive final evaluation.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments within the community and in collaboration with industry partners to identify critical skill gaps and opportunities for new, impactful program development.
  • Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with local employers, industry associations, and community organizations to create a robust network for internships, apprenticeships, and direct job placements.
  • Oversee the entire participant journey, including recruitment, screening, and intake processes, ensuring the selection of a diverse and qualified cohort ready for success.
  • Provide individualized career counseling, academic advising, and intensive case management services to participants, helping them navigate and overcome barriers to develop clear, achievable career pathways.
  • Develop and facilitate engaging workshops and training sessions on essential employability skills, including resume writing, interview techniques, financial literacy, and workplace professionalism.
  • Diligently monitor and track participant progress, attendance, and performance, maintaining accurate and confidential records in compliance with organizational, federal, and funder requirements.
  • Manage program budgets effectively, including tracking all expenditures, processing invoices, and contributing to detailed financial reporting and future grant proposals.
  • Coordinate all program logistics, including the scheduling of classes and workshops, securing appropriate training facilities, and procuring all necessary educational materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Cultivate and manage key relationships with external stakeholders, including funding bodies, government agencies, and educational institutions, to ensure program sustainability and strategic alignment.
  • Collect, analyze, and report on key program metrics and outcomes—such as enrollment, retention, completion, and job placement rates—to rigorously demonstrate program effectiveness and drive data-informed decisions.
  • Lead targeted program outreach and marketing efforts to attract and enroll eligible participants, utilizing a multi-channel approach that includes social media, community events, and referral networks.
  • Actively facilitate connections between program graduates and relevant employment opportunities, providing ongoing job placement support and follow-up services to ensure long-term career stability.
  • Ensure all program activities strictly adhere to relevant legal, ethical, and safety standards, as well as the specific guidelines and stipulations of grants and funding contracts.
  • Continuously evaluate program curriculum and delivery methods by gathering structured feedback from participants, instructors, and employer partners to drive ongoing quality improvement and innovation.
