Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Design and execute a dynamic, multi-channel recruitment strategy to attract a diverse pool of volunteers that reflects the community we serve.
- Manage the complete volunteer onboarding process, including application review, screening, interviewing, and conducting background checks to ensure proper placement.
- Develop and lead comprehensive orientation and training sessions for new volunteers, ensuring they are well-versed in the organization's mission, values, and specific role expectations.

- Create, manage, and communicate volunteer schedules to ensure consistent and reliable support for all organizational programs and events.
- Collaborate closely with department heads and program staff to assess their ongoing volunteer needs and strategically match volunteers' skills and interests to appropriate opportunities.
- Develop and implement a robust volunteer recognition program, including appreciation events and informal acknowledgements, to boost morale and aid retention.
- Author and distribute regular, engaging communications, such as newsletters, email updates, and social media content, to keep volunteers informed and connected.
- Ensure the volunteer program adheres to all organizational policies and legal standards, including risk management, safety protocols, and confidentiality.
