Core Responsibilities

Primary Functions

  • Conducting comprehensive and systematic literature reviews using academic databases (e.g., PubMed, Scopus, PsycINFO) to synthesize existing findings and support manuscript preparation.
  • Assisting with the recruitment, screening, and scheduling of study participants in accordance with established protocols and ethical guidelines.
  • Administering surveys, questionnaires, and structured interviews to participants, ensuring a standardized and comfortable experience for all involved.
  • Performing accurate and timely data entry from various sources, including paper-based forms and electronic surveys, into databases like REDCap, Excel, or SPSS.
  • Maintaining meticulous and organized records of research activities, participant interactions, and data collection efforts for audit and review purposes.
  • Assisting in the preparation of research materials, such as consent forms, study information sheets, and data collection instruments.
  • Supporting the preparation of Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications, amendments, and annual renewals by gathering necessary documentation.
  • Cleaning and verifying collected data to ensure its accuracy, completeness, and integrity prior to formal analysis.
  • Performing basic qualitative data coding or quantitative statistical analyses under the direct supervision of a senior researcher.
  • Preparing materials for team meetings, including summarizing progress, creating preliminary data visualizations, and organizing agendas.
  • Assisting with the writing and editing of research manuscripts, abstracts, and conference posters for publication and dissemination.
  • Managing and organizing large datasets, ensuring proper version control and documentation of all variables and data-handling procedures.
  • Setting up and maintaining laboratory equipment or software required for specific research protocols.
  • Observing and documenting experimental procedures or participant sessions with a high degree of accuracy and objectivity.
  • Assisting with the logistical coordination of research projects, including managing supplies, tracking project timelines, and communicating with stakeholders.
