  • Produce and maintain SEO-friendly page templates and content frameworks (H1/H2 structure, schema-ready sections) that can be reused across product categories and internationalized as needed.
  • Audit existing website content to find gaps, thin pages, duplicate content, and opportunities for consolidation, then execute optimization and rewrite plans to improve rankings and user engagement.
  • Develop and maintain tone-of-voice and style guidelines, including brand lexicon, grammar conventions, and inclusive language policies to ensure consistency across all digital content.
  • Partner with SEO and analytics teams to define content KPIs, measure organic performance (rankings, impressions, CTR) and user behavior metrics (bounce rate, time on page, conversion rate), and iterate copy based on data.
  • Manage content production for campaign-specific landing pages and seasonal promotions, ensuring on-time delivery, QA, and alignment with paid media and email campaigns.
  • Write persuasive product descriptions and benefits-focused copy that translate technical features into customer value and support ecommerce conversion funnels.
  • Work with localization teams or external translators to adapt copy for global markets, ensuring cultural relevance and localized SEO best practices are applied.

  • Integrate structured data (Schema.org snippets) and collaborate with developers to implement markup that enhances SERP appearance (rich snippets, product data).
  • Write and optimize meta tags (title tags, meta descriptions) and image alt text to improve accessibility and organic search performance.
  • Repurpose long-form content (whitepapers, webinars, case studies) into SEO-friendly web assets, snippets, and microsites to extend content ROI and funnel traffic.
  • Provide copy support for onboarding flows, help center articles, and product documentation to maintain a consistent customer experience across the site.

Secondary Functions

  • Assist in planning and executing integrated marketing campaigns by providing digital assets, landing page copy, and creative hooks that align with campaign goals.
  • Support social and email teams by producing short-form promotional copy, subject lines, and preview text optimized for opens and clicks.
  • Conduct user interviews or collaborate on qualitative research to surface language customers use and incorporate insights into messaging and personas.
  • Proofread and perform QA on content changes, platform migrations, or redesign launches to ensure no copy is lost, truncated, or misformatted.
  • Train and mentor junior writers and contractors on SEO best practices, site-specific style guides, and content workflows.
  • Maintain editorial calendars and content inventories, updating status and ownership to keep stakeholders informed of content initiatives.
