- Analyze usage metrics and feedback to identify opportunities for consolidation of templates, simplification of styles, and reduction of manual touchpoints to lower cost-per-document delivered.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to incorporate clause libraries, conditional content, and audit trails into templates that meet regulatory and internal control requirements.
- Lead pilot programs for large-scale document transformation initiatives, measuring ROI, adoption rates, error reduction, and time-to-document improvements, and iterate based on stakeholder feedback.
- Provide consultancy on legacy document migration—assess, refactor, and convert old templates and documents (including tracked changes and legacy macros) into modern, accessible, and automation-ready formats.
- Implement document accessibility best practices (semantic styles, alt text, tagged PDFs export workflows) and advise on remediation strategies to meet corporate accessibility commitments.
- Work with UX and brand teams to embed visual identity, correct typography, and print/export settings into templates ensuring professional and consistent presentation across channels.
- Partner with security and IT architecture to ensure macros and automation solutions comply with endpoint security policies, macro signing requirements, and least-privilege access patterns.
- Drive cross-functional change management—prepare communication plans, champion networks, and adoption metrics to maximize template uptake and reduce ad-hoc local document variation.
- Establish quality and performance SLAs for template delivery, automated document generation, and production support; continuously monitor to ensure SLA compliance and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Create conversion pipelines for bulk document migration (DOC to DOCX, structure normalization) including scripting, mapping, and quality validation steps to modernize document estates.
- Conduct competitive and tooling assessments to recommend best-fit document automation platforms and Office add-ins based on business scale, integration needs, and total cost of ownership.
- Mentor junior consultants and power users, conduct code reviews for VBA and Office Scripts, and enforce coding standards and modular design for sustainable template maintenance.
