Core Responsibilities
Primary Functions
- Lead development and optimization of microbial fermentation processes (yeast, bacteria and mixed cultures) from lab bench to pilot and commercial scale, implementing robust scale-up strategies, risk assessments and process controls to ensure consistent yields, product quality and cost targets.

- Evaluate, select and manage relationships with external vendors and contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs) for media, strains, sensors and pilot manufacturing services; negotiate scope, specs and timelines.
